This is a view of Coalwood Main. The Big Store and the Community Center
are on the right. The Clubhouse is on the left. There is a
railroad siding that runs up Snakeroot Hollow to the left. (The siding was
used to bring out coal from several mining areas that were up Snakeroot Hollow.)
The Community Center, at one time, housed a school and a theater. The
building was later torn down, and the basement was cemented over to become the
Coalwood swimming pool that is still in use today.
